Thanks for your email. This is Steve from the support team. 

You can connect the splitter (LAN port) directly to your PC computer. Before you make it work, you should assign a static IP address to your PC computer. The IP setting of your PC should be something like below IP address: 192.168.1.*** subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.1.1 You can ignore the DNS without the problem. With these settings, the camera will stay in the same LAN as your IP camera.
