How Can We Help?
Thanks for your message. This is Steve from the support team.
The WiFi distance is only for reference. The wall or tree could block the signal seriously. You will have to make sure the WiFi signal is good enough to stream the high-definition video. Otherwise, you can add the PLC adaptor to extend the WiFi signal around the birdhouse.
This is the guide to test your home WiFi signal. https://green-backyard.com/pages/check-the-signal-before-setup-a-wifi-bird-box-camera/
And PLC adapter to extend the WiFi. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HSQAIQU/ (2.4Ghz)
One more thing, It is important to know the camera only works with 2.4Ghz WiFi. If what you have is a dual-band router that has combines 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz into single WiFi, you will have to log in to your router and give an independent name to 2.4Ghz WiFi, otherwise, the camera will not work.
Also, the camera is not waterproof, please sealed the roof and protect the camera from the rain.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
