The WiFi distance is only for reference. The wall or tree could block the signal seriously. You will have to make sure the WiFi signal is good enough to stream the high-definition video. Otherwise, you can add the PLC adaptor to extend the WiFi signal around the birdhouse.

One more thing, It is important to know the camera only works with 2.4Ghz WiFi. If what you have is a dual-band router that has combines 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz into single WiFi, you will have to log in to your router and give an independent name to 2.4Ghz WiFi, otherwise, the camera will not work.

Also, the camera is not waterproof, please sealed the roof and protect the camera from the rain.

You should wire a DC power cord to the closed outlet for continuous powering the camera. 10 meters DC power extension cable is included in the package. You can place the power adaptor 10 meters far from your nest box. The camera uses DC12V, it is safe.

You also can use the solar panel. The camera consume about 135mA. The below is the specification we recommend.

Battery: 20AH DC12V

Solar: 60W

The camera doesn’t have a password while you receive it. The app has instruct you to add the new password to the camera when you try to connect the camera to your home WiFi for the first time. It is not the password of iCSee app. It is the password you have input twice after the radar scan complete.

Only you will know the password. Any new devices try to log into the camera, it needs that password.

If you can’t remember the password, you will have to reset the camera that will disconnect the camera from your home WiFi. You can start from the beginning to add the camera to the home WiFi again.

This is the video, you may see whether it can help you recall the password to avoid the reset the camera.

I apologize for the frustration.

Here we have an optional method to connect the camera to your home WiFi. Before we move ahead. It is very important to make sure your WiFi is 2.4Ghz. If you have dual-band WiFi, you should have an independent name for 2.4Ghz WiFi. If both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz have been combining to a single WiFi name, the camera can’t tell which one is which. If you are not so sure, you can send me the model number of your WiFi router.

Firstly you will have to turn on the camera’s internal WiFi. The name of the camera’s internal WiFi starts with IPC_****.  The below is the instruction to turn on the camera’s internal WiFi.

Please power up the camera and wait… until you hear the camera making the click sound. 

Next, press the reset button three times (Video: https://youtu.be/LhqjA0BSYRU), wait for around one minute, and go to check your mobile phone’s WiFi setting. If the IPC_*** doesn’t appear, please turn off the phone WiFi and turn it on to have a new search. If you still don’t see the WiFi, please press three times again, but do it fast this time.

GB25005 摄像机有噪音

​I apologize for the issue. The noise comes from the interference between the WiFi antenna and the analog microphone. There is no much space to isolate the camera and the antenna in this compact housing. The camera will always have noise, but some are more serious.

​I would suggest you turn down the volume on your mobile phone a little bit. While you set the volume to the maximum, it becomes very loud.

Hi,

I understand you can view the camera at home, but while you can’t see the camera online while you have left your house.

The camera needs to pass through your router successfully before you can view the camera remotely. Most of situation, you don’t need to configure the camear or your router.

Firstly, I want you to install the PC software or Mac software and find the network setting of the camera.

What you need to do next is find the DNS IP address in your local network, then change the DNS IP to your local DNS. Now reboot the camera and see whether it works.

You will need to install a micro SD card before the camera can record the files. The micro SD card is NOT included.

If the camera detects the micro SD card, but you still can’t find the recording files, please sync the camera’s time and try it again. https://green-backyard.com/pages/how-to-set-birdhouse-cameras-time/

The attached please find the image for reference. We can send you the lens to replace. However, it will take pretty long before you receive it.

There is another solution. You can order the lens from Amazon, and we will refund you. Just need to send me the receipt.

PoE摄像机获取正确IP地址

Thanks for your email. This is Steve from the support team.

I think the camera didn’t obtain the correct IP address from your router. Can you keep the camera online over one hours, and go back to check it again? The camera will try to obtain the IP address seconds later.

If it doesn’t work, please send me two screenshot in order to determine whether the camera has obtained the correct IP address from your router or not.

1. Could you please click the “Me” on the button right screen to logout the app? Next you click Local login.

2. You should see no device. Then tap + icon on the top right screen and click “More”

3. Here choose Add the device in the same LAN. The app should discover the camera’s ID and the IP address. Please capture this screenshot.

Next, I would like you to follow the instructions below and send me the screenshot of IP settings of your mobile phone. https://www.iclarified.com/496/how-to-find-the-ip-address-of-your-iphone (The last screenshot)

I want to see whether both the camera and your mobile phone have the same subnetwork.

DHCP修改摄像机IP地址

You are right. The camera is supposed to stay in the same subnet with your mobile phone. 

There are two ways we can try to help the camera obtain the correct IP setting.

1. Firstly, please install the Mac software with the instructions below. While you try to add the camera, make sure the check box – modify the IP address automatically is marked. I sent you the image attached. Now you see whether the mac can change the camera’s IP address or not.

2. If it doesnt’ work, you can connect the camera to the local network and keep it running for more than one hours. During this time, the camera will try to obtain the IP address from your DHCP server (local network).
