How Can We Help?
Thanks for your email. This is Steve from the support team.
You are supposed to see the camera’s internal WiFi a couple seconds after you power up the camera. The camera’s internal WiFi will disappear after you try to connect it to your home WiFi even if it failed. If this is the case, you should follow the instruction below to reset the camera and re-activate the camera’s internal WiFi. You can skip the guide below if you are still seeing the camera’s internal WiFi (IPC_***) on your mobile phone. Please follow the guide below step by step closely.
1. Firstly, power up the camera and wait… until you hear the camera making the click sound.
2. Next, depress and hold the reset button for more than 15 seconds and wait…. until you hear the clicks sound again.
3. The following steps are a little bit tricky. Press the reset button three times (Video: https://youtu.be/LhqjA0BSYRU), wait for around one minutes, and go to check your mobile phone’s WiFi setting. If it doesn’t appear, please turn off the phone WiFi and turn it on to have a new search. please do not keep pressing 3 times, otherwise it will turn off the internal WiFi again. The 3 times press works similarly as the light switch.
The below is the instruction: https://green-backyard.com/pages/how-to-reset-wifi-bird-box-camera/ Next you can follow the video guide below to connect the camera to your WiFi network. https://green-backyard.com/pages/hook-up-birdhouse-camera-to-wifi/
Please understand the camera only works with 2.4Ghz WiFi, it doesn’t work with 5.8Ghz. If you have tried the above video, but it doesn’t work out. The attached I sent you the optional guide to connect the camera to the home WiFi.
If you have any questions, pls contact us and we are glad to help.
